ABOUT
The work animates the first man’s encounter with his wife, Eve. The overarching theme was Biblical narrative and illustration– divorced from religious iconography. To strip the Biblical passage of it’s iconographical history, is to finally read it. And so, Adam in all his humanness arises from his deep slumber and peaks through the leaves to see the first woman created from his own ribcage.
